Interim Executive Management + Owners Representative + Hotel Ownership Transition Support

At the request of the new owners of this iconic, PNW lodge and resort, we assisted them with Interim Executive Management in the form of Interim General Manager and Owners Representative, overseeing all transitional aspects and operational oversight for a six-month period, starting a few weeks before the ownership commencement date. During our time on site, processes and procedures were put in place, executive team members transitioned or hired, technology sourced and implemented, dynamic pricing/revenue management was put in place, renovations and Capex projects started, and so on.

 

About Sun Mountain Lodge

Our 112 guest rooms, suites, and cabins feature either stunning views of the North Cascades or sweeping territorial views of the Methow Valley and the National Forest. All of our guestrooms are tastefully appointed with original artwork and hand-crafted wood furniture made by local artisans.

One of the many crown jewels of our resort is our food and beverage program, including our amazing wine cellar (see images at bottom of posting). The Sun Mountain Lodge Dining Room is one of very few Washington State resort dining rooms with the coveted AAA Four Diamond Award. Our wine cellar has received numerous awards, including the prestigious Wine Restaurant of the Year and Wine Growers Appreciation Award. The wine cellar boasts over 3,500 bottles of primarily Washington wines, many of which are unavailable outside the wineries.

Sun Mountain Lodge was the first destination cross-country ski resort in the Northwest. It is now the largest, with over 60 km. of groomed trails, which are connected to and are part of the huge 175 km. Methow Valley Sport Trails Association system – one of the largest groomed ski trail systems in North America.
